Back from TCAF

Well I’m a bit late posting this but I have been on the road driving back to Nova Scotia from Toronto, stopping in Montreal to scan art by Elisabeth Belliveau. TCAF was a fantastic show, and the conundrum crew really bonded. Thanks first and foremost to Chris and Peter of the Beguiling for hosting the show, and of course all the volunteers. Conundrum Press comes to TCAF!

For immediate release: Montreal indie comics publisher is set to premiere two graphic novels and feature signings by many local and Quebec artists at this years Toronto Comic Arts Festival. Well Simon Bossé has let me know that he will not have his new book of strips, A Thousand Skunks, ready to launch at TCAF, May 8-9 in Toronto. But he has a good excuse and here she is! Massey in the Pig

Josh Massey performed a lit trailer for We Will All Be Trees to a packed house at Cafe Voltaire, situated within Books and Company, Prince George. Accompanying him was the band Tree Bomb (Dave Livesey, Theresa Mohr and Electric Josh Sketchley). Swatting, cursing and muttering incantations, together they acted out scenes from Massey’s novel, which included the “The Black Fly Song” and “Grant’s Tree Planting Ballad”, as well as the obligatory planting rap finale.
